The conical insert ring

The tapered ring reduces the inlet of the valve relative to the outlet. This directs the medium to the center of the passage and prevents solids from remaining in the dead spaces of the valve.

The ring protects the bore rings of the valve which, as long as the ring is mounted, are completely free of wear. The tapered ring can be easily clamped between the flange and the valve. No modification of the valve is required.
