A conical insert ring executed with storm ribs

The conical ring with storm ribs reduces the inlet of the valve relative to the outlet. This directs the medium to the center of the passage and prevents solids from remaining in the dead spaces of the valve.

In addition, the ring is equipped with ribs that break up any eddies in the medium. This solution is used particularly for valves that are under cyclones or have to deal with violent eddies in the medium. Because the eddies are partially broken down, wear and tear on the plate, bore rings and internal parts is significantly reduced.

The tapered ring can be easily clamped between the flange and the valve. No modification of the valve is required.
